From Solo to Duo Performance Workshop- How to?

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
This workshop will specifically work on taking your performance from solo to duo. In less than 6 HOURS you will get the opportunity to learn how to collaborate in the best possible way with another, develop a new performance style together, write a song together and most importantly find ease and confidence in performing together. Using our Simply Sing method we will explore:
- How to collaborate with another singer/ performer and find your duo?
- Physical and Vocal Awareness exercises to enhance your voice
- Solo Singing Natural Confidence Techniques
- Singing & Performance Improvisation
- Performance style and technique
- Vocal Mindfulness
…and lots more tricks to get you fully immersed in enhancing your duo performance.
By the end of the workshop, you will have either found yourself a new duo, improved the duo that you already have or know all the ways possible to go find yourself another person to perform with. You will also have written your own song together and have developed a more natural performance style that suits you both.

ABOUT YOUR SIMPLY SING FACILITATOR’s
Clodagh Swords (Founder Simply Sing) has spent her life singing. She has appeared on TV, radio, and film for acting and singing. She is a creative entrepreneur, advanced public speaker & singer with over 10 years’ experience within facilitation, business development, and communications. Founded and developed Simply Sing in 2011. She is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin in Drama and Theatre Studies and possesses an MA in Facilitation using mindfulness-based tools. She has sung in various bands and choirs. She is professionally trained in drama, movement and developing confidence in people’s singing voices. She developed the Simply Sing method and has run extensive workshops since 2011 in both Dublin & most recently in London.
Alan Morton (Open Mic Trainer) Alan is a Dublin based guitarist and singer with 20+ years performance experience as both a solo artist and in the bands The Hungry Souls and Lugosi. In addition to performing music, Alan hosts the Jailbreak Sessions open mic night and others around Ireland. These open mics have successfully run for four years and includes the recording of performances for their YouTube channel. This videography has evolved into a feature-length documentary Open Mic Dublin – The Movie to be released the spring in 2018. He specialises in open mic training and performance technique.
